UK Rotations in Prestigious NHS University Hospitals

SME is thrilled to share exciting news from New Anglia University (NAU) — the University has officially strengthened its partnerships with leading NHS Foundation Trust hospitals, including King’s College Hospital, Princess Royal University Hospital and The Christie Hospital. These collaborations provide NAU students with access to world-class clinical training within the UK healthcare system.

King’s College Hospital, established in 1840, is a major teaching hospital in London and an internationally recognised centre for clinical excellence. NAU students will train within the same NHS teaching environment that supports King’s College London medical students, gaining structured, GMC-aligned clinical exposure and integrated experience across the hospital’s clinical departments — a benchmark of excellence in British medical education.

Princess Royal University Hospital, established in 1869, provides a wide range of specialist and acute services. It offers students diverse clinical learning opportunities and exposure to real-world patient care within one of the UK’s most respected NHS networks.

The Christie Hospital, founded in 1892, is one of the world’s foremost cancer treatment and research centres. It is renowned for pioneering therapies and cutting-edge clinical research, providing students with the opportunity to train in a hospital at the forefront of oncology and multidisciplinary care.

Through these partnerships, NAU students undertake supervised clinical rotations across NHS hospitals, developing essential skills in patient care, communication, diagnostics, and multidisciplinary teamwork — all under the same standards that guide UK medical education.

This pathway ensures that students remain connected to the NHS system throughout their training, combining international study with UK-based clinical practice. Completing rotations within NHS Foundation Trust sites also allows students to earn valuable references and build professional networks, opening doors to future opportunities in the UK healthcare sector.

Through SME, as NAU’s exclusive representative, students and parents can access expert guidance throughout the application process, receive tailored advice about clinical placements, and benefit from support that ensures a smooth and confident transition into UK-based medical training.

At SME, we are proud to represent a university that provides globally recognised medical education while helping students build a career within the NHS from the very start of their training.

More details and information about these prestigious partnerships will be shared at the November Open Days.
